Jakarta, March 6 2024 – The Land Bank Authority is a special authority (sui generis) formed by the government to guarantee the availability of land in the context of a just economy, both for public interests, social interests, national development interests, economic equality, land consolidation and also Agrarian Reform . More than that, the Land Bank Authority also guarantees certainty of land rights for the public and private parties.

“The main aim of the Land Bank Agency is to ensure greater certainty of land rights for investors and also the community,” said Head of the Land Bank Agency, Parman Nataatmadja in his presentation at the 2024 ATR/BPN Ministry National Working Meeting, Jakarta, Wednesday (6/3/ 2024).

Parman said that one of the obstacles currently experienced by investors is related to the certainty of land rights. “Why? “If investors want to buy 1000 hectares of land, the most difficult thing is land because they have to clear it and other things, the price fluctuates, there are also lots of land brokers,” he said.

Parman continued, from the community side, the Land Bank Agency provides certainty of land rights in the form of legal certainty and legality of the land they work on to obtain a certificate.

Legal certainty and legality over this land, continued Parman, is provided through the Agrarian Reform program. Through Agrarian Reform, the community will be given a Certificate of Use Rights above the Land Bank Agency’s HPL for 10 years

“If it is used well during this period, then we will be given a Certificate of Ownership (SHM),” said Parman.

Currently, the Land Bank Agency has prepared 1,873 Ha of land for Agrarian Reform in North Penajam Paser (PPU), 1,550 Ha in Poso and 203 Ha in Cianjur.

Not only land for Agrarian Reform, the Land Bank Agency has also prepared land for the construction of the VVIP IKN Airport covering an area of 347 Ha and the IKN Section 5B Toll Road covering an area of 150 Ha.

On this occasion, Parman also explained about the Land Bank Agency’s acquisition of land which came from land determined by the government and land from other parties.

“Currently, the land acquired by the Land Bank Agency still comes from land designated by the government. “The source can be from ex-rights land, abandoned areas and land, released forest areas, emerging land, reclaimed land, ex-mining land, land affected by spatial planning change policies, or land that has no control over it,” concluded Parman.
